Mark Bresee, MPT
Mark graduated from the University of St. Augustine with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and a strong background in manual therapy. He has worked with Division 1 athletes at the University of Florida, was director of an outpatient spine center in Baltimore, Maryland, and is currently pursuing his manual therapy certification.
Mark is very active with wellness promotion in the community, directs a local Triathlon, and is president of the Tupelo Triathlon Club.
He also performs community in-services concerning sports related injuries, strength training, nutrition, and other wellness topics. Mark has a special interest in treating running and multi-sport athletes. Having finished two full Ironman Distance Triathlons, several half Ironmans, and countless sprint distance races, Mark has first-hand knowledge of what these athletes go through, and can address their problems very effectively.
Mark lives in Tupelo, MS with his wife and three children. He is a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. By living an active lifestyle, Mark's goal is to promote health and wellness in the community and use his profession as a physical therapist to help those in need to return to the lifestyle they want.
Mary Beth Smallwood, PT, OCS
Mary Beth is a native of Mississippi and graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1986. She has over 20 years of experience in the out-patient setting with an orthopaedic emphasis. After undergoing a comprehensive examination in 2010, she was awarded the title of "Orthopaedic Certified Specialist" by theAmerican Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Additionally Mary Beth is trained in functional capacity evaluations and in McKenzie technique (Parts A & B) for treatment of neck and back problems.
Mary Beth lives in Tupelo, MS with her husband and two boys. They are active members at Lawndale Presbyterian Church and enjoy fishing, camping, and outdoor activities. She is active in a local tennis league as well as involved in preseason injury prevention with some of the local high school athletes. Her passion is to keep others in the "game" of life whether it be highly technical in high level sports or simply enjoying an outdoor walk again!
